Scamp has been such a great addition to our family! He is very high energy ( which we knew )..so we make sure to give him plenty of walks, & mental stimulation w/ toys, etc. We also have him enrolled in a great doggie daycare on Wednesdays. He has attended once so far and LOVED it. He stays all day and is placed with about 15-20 other dogs his size. He clearly enjoys being with other dogs!! No real challenges to note! He did find a few areas in the house that he began to chew, but bitter apple fixed that problem really quick along with praising him when he'd play w/ his toys. When we leave for work he has a bit of separation anxiety ( he howls very loudly...must be the beagle in him )...but he soon calms down. He has been great w/ training. He now knows sit, lay down, stay, come, & we are working on roll over and shake. He was quite the puller on walks, but we now use a gentle leader which has corrected his walking a ton! I can't believe it's only been a little over two weeks since we picked him up. We already love him so much. I have attached some pictures of myself & my fiance' w/ Scamp and some others - enjoy!!

Hi, another update – she is doing WONDERFUL we have decided to name her Zadie – almost like Candie but with a little Z on the beginning.
We had a great weekend with her and her playful side has come out – she has been taking all the toys we have and rawhide bones and she flips them in the air and chases after them. She has mastered going in and out the front and back door with just a come on lets go in or lets go out. We still have her on a leash walking in the yard – probably this week we will take that off and as long as she still comes in when called then she will be good with that. She has made friends with our other dog Gracie and they are sharing the water bowl. She is eating like a trooper and loves to lay in front of the couch or on it.
Here are a few of things that Zia has been doing – she runs like the wind and stops on a dime. . . she eats like a trooper and seems to love all her toys.
In the last few days a new side of her personality has emerged – she thinks she is a lap dog and that she should sit in the chair with you. . . only kidding but as soon as I or my husband leave our chairs she jumps into them and sits pretty. She is so pretty and very kind hearted.
She has been going for walks around our yard and finds something new to play with every time – including gross tennis balls, rocks and one plant (I didn’t like the color anyway).
All in all I think we have found our forever dog. . . Thank you
And a special thank you to her foster mom – it must have been so hard to send her here – but I want you to know she will be loved and well taken care of forever.

Dear Kathy and Bari and everyone at Forever Home Rescue,
I just wanted to give you an update on my new life with my mommy and daddy -- Bob & Leia Taggart who adopted me on Dec. 24th. --
I love my house in Norwood. I am registered and licensed in the town of Norwood. However, on Christmas Day - My Daddy called me "KONA" and I have answered to that name ever since. I do not go by the name 'Lance' anymore….My name is Kona Taggart and that is the name everyone knows me by.
I have lots of friends here. My daddy takes me to the park everyday in the afternoon and I have playdates with other dogs. I love to run, run, run!!! I am very friendly with others and very good around kids. I have lots of toys as mommy and daddy spoil me! Every morning, I get up at 5AM with daddy and wait til he leaves for work and then I climb back into bed with mommy and snuggle with her until she gets up. Mommy says that I am her little love-bug! We are soooooo happy!
I have gone to the doctor's for a physical and have gotten a lyme disease vaccination and booster along with my monthly heartworm pills. My doctor is Dr. Carpenter from Norwood Animal Hospital. He says I am a good boy and very obedient and well mannered. I have gained 13 pounds in the last 2 months--- I weighed 60 when I first went home, I now weigh 73. Dr. Carpenter says I am very healthy and at a very good weight. Also, mommy takes me to the doggie-salon once a month where I have a bath, blow-out, brush, ears cleaned, nails clipped, and teeth brushed. I like the girls there -- they are very nice and I try to play with them in the bath tub! :-)
Thank you for helping me find my forever home with Mommy and Daddy! They are the best and I love them so much as they love me so much too! I have attached a couple of pictures above. One was taken at the park, and the other 2 at my house on the couch -- (I love to sit on top of the couch and look out the window). Thanks again and hope everyone is doing as well as I am!
LOVE< KONA TAGGART
