Hi Joanne,
Bear is doing great! He’s so friendly and easy going. I think Zuzu is wondering why he’s still in HER house. They have fun together though. We went to the vet this morning. She checked out his abdomen and it looks good. The vet thinks Bear will be a good influence on Zuzu. Zuzu can be nervous. She says having Bear might soothe that. It’s been a couple of busy days settling in. Bear is fine it’s me running around getting them out and trying to give them both a lot of attention. Of coarse the whole family helps when they’re home. I think they will be good buddies soon. Thanks so much for everything. Bear’s foster mom Nancy did a GREAT job with him. I will send her an e-mail too. I’ll send pictures when my daughter gets home. I’m not too good with the computer.

Hi all,

Just thought I’d send you an update on Rocky Top (who is now Cletus Jones) that I adopted from your group in December. He is doing great and has made a lot of progress. He knows tons of tricks which people love to do with him. When I work part time at the front desk of a hotel, he gets to come to work with me and jumps up on the counter to greet the customers. For a few months over the summer I worked at a dog daycare, where he came to work with me and get plenty of socialization and made a lot of new friends. He went camping with my boyfriend and his two dogs in June and even climbed a mountain in NH. We also celebrated his 1st birthday with a doggie cake made of biscuits, peanut butter, and his kibble. He is still the sweetest boy with the cutest face! And he still howls at everyone who walks past the house. People say he sounds like a foghorn!

We are planning an adoption event at Forever Home Rescue New England, 106 Adams Street, Medfield MA 02052 for Monday afternoon, Labor Day, Sept 6. We’re planning for 12-4pm or so.

We’ll have lots of pups and likely a few adult dogs at the event and it will say in their postings if they will be there. Dogs marked “UPDATE” are in New England or on the way for that weekend, and the first line of the writeup will let you know if the dog will be at the event. You can apply ahead of time by going to any of our dog’s postings. Just put ‘Adoption Event’ in the space for the dog’s name and we can process your application and hopefully get you pre-approved to adopt that day. Then you can come and choose a pup and take a pup home that day!

Look forward also to our Grand Opening of our new facility on Monday, October 11. We’ll be posting details here on our site and sending emails to all our adopters and volunteers.

Please note we will not be at Pet Rock this year.
